Research proves that children who are exposed to a second language at an early age not only achieve much better results in languages, but also in math, science and music.  Overall, the acquisition of a second language enriches a child's mental development.  It also instills in your child a sense of global community, as well as appreciation and tolerance for other people and their culture.  And of course, he/she will have the ability to easily communicate with millions of people worldwide, as Spanish is the official language in 22 countries, and there's many other countries where thousands and even millions of people speak Spanish, like here in the U.S.!!
